1-Day Writing Retreat Schedule:
- 8:30 am – Breakfast
- 9:00 am – Welcome & Write on Site Philosophy and Tools
- 9:15 am – Writing Session 1
- 10:30 am – Check-In & Break
- 10:40 am – Writing Session 2
- 12:00 pm – Lunch & Campus Walk
- 1:00 pm – Writing Session 3
- 2:30 pm – Check-In & Break
- 2:40 pm – Writing Session 4
- 4:00 pm – Adjourn
We encourage you to join for the full day, but feel free to attend any sessions you’re available for.
About Write to Unite (W2U) and Write on Site (WOS)
Write to Unite fosters community among UCSB faculty by providing spaces, resources, and tools to boost research productivity and encourage cross-disciplinary mentoring. These efforts support a sense of belonging and professional success.
Write on Site offers dedicated, positive spaces for focused scholarly writing, from brainstorming and drafting articles to integrating reviewer feedback and preparing grants. Faculty gather for support and accountability but not for service-related tasks like committee work or grading.
