Alexandra Eleazar

Alex Eleazar (they/she) is a PhD candidate specializing in migration, mobilities, gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, Central America, and postcolonial feminist theory. Their dissertation investigates how digital labor economies and colonial legacies influence the relocation of privileged migrants to Guatemala. Alex's Master's research focused on LGBTQ+ migrants, examining identity formation, belonging, and transnational community ties. As a first-generation college student and former Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, Alex holds a B.A. from Smith College, Massachusetts.
